Assistant Bridge Engineering Project Manager - (181014)At HDR,

but around the world.In the role of Project Manager Engineering
Assistant, we'll count on you to:
- Apply structural engineering and detailing techniques
- Work on projects that typically include bridge (steel plate
girder, prestress concrete, segmental and cable), box culvert, and
interchange design for highway and railway projects
- Select standard bridge engineering/design procedures, develop
structural details using specialized structural design and analysis
software, perform structural load calculations, and assist with
geometric layout and quantity development
- Review, assign work, and/or check design calculations,
estimates, and specifications produced by junior engineers and
EITs
- Be responsible for many aspects of a small project or a single
aspect of a larger project
- Coordinate workload through project execution and complete
deliverables on budget and schedule
- Perform other duties as neededPreferred Qualifications
- 7 years of bridge design experience is preferred
- MS in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Experience working with Caltrans District 7, 8, 11 or 12
- MicroStation, AutoCAD experience
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience using structural analysis programs and bridge design
software
- Experience managing junior staff
- Excellent communication skills and working in a team
environmentRequired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 5 years related experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- MS Office and MS Project experience (Access experience would be
a plus)
