TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Oncology RN in West Hollywood, California, 90048 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Oncology Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (08:30 - 17:00) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum 2 years of oncology ambulatory experience required License: Valid permanent California license necessary Certifications: BLS required, Chemo certification preferred Must-Have: - COVID-19 vaccine and booster required (no exemptions) - Flu vaccine required (no exemptions) - No first-time travelers Job Description: - Support clinics treating patients with lung and genitourinary cancers. - Work Monday to Friday with no weekends, though shifts may vary in start/end times. - Manage ambulatory practice, ensuring efficient clinic flow and continuity of patient care. - Complete pertinent nursing assessments and interventions. - Ensure new patient records are received and abstracted for physician review. - Conduct telephone triage for clinic patients. - Assist physicians with in-office minor surgical procedures, such as excisional biopsy and wound care. - Administer intermuscular and subcutaneous chemotherapy injections. - Work with CADD pumps for continuous infusions; access, de-access, and troubleshoot PAS-ports and chest ports. - Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, chemotherapy, surgery, and Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) teaching, as well as treatment side effects.
