and development opportunities.GENERAL PURPOSE:Responsible for
managing and supervising all areas assigned by the Store Manager,
following policies related to Customers, Associates, and
merchandising. Responsible for learning all phases of Store
operations. In the absence of the Store Manager, the Assistant
Manager leads the entire Store operation to ensure standards and
best practices are met.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- General Operating Requirements: Leads company best practices,
analyzes store reports, ensures proper scheduling, compliance with
regulations, and manages payroll administration.
- Organizational Development: Assists in recruiting, hiring,
training, and developing Associates, and handles employee relations
issues.
- Expense Control: Monitors expenditures, manages payroll hours
to plan, and controls costs.
- Maintaining a Safe & Secure Environment: Prioritizes safety,
ensures emergency procedures are known, and maintains safety
policies.
- Customer Service: Provides respectful, courteous, and
professional service, supervises and coaches Associates in customer
service.
- Personal and Store Brand: Represents the company brand,
maintains a professional appearance, and ensures a clean, organized
store environment.
- Merchandise Processing and In-Store Marketing: Oversees
merchandise recovery, organization, and markdowns, ensuring
presentation aligns with guidelines.
- Loss Prevention: Trains staff on loss prevention, safeguards
assets, and leads inventory processes.COMPETENCIES:

- OrganizingQUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- At least two years of retail Store or Assistant Store Manager
experience.
- Ability to supervise, motivate, and communicate positively with
staff.
- Strong multitasking, prioritization, and independent judgment
skills.
- High-quality customer service skills.
- Fluency in English.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends.
- Basic math skills used in retail.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:
- Ability to use store equipment, stand, walk, bend, squat,
reach, and lift over 25 lbs.
- Ability to perform janitorial and store-related
tasks.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:Direct supervision of all
non-exempt Associates.COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:The base pay range
is $20.87 - $27.45, depending on experience, skills,
qualifications, education, certifications, seniority, and location.
