What You'll Do:
Champion Safety. Take an active role in prioritizing safety
throughout the operation for yourself and others at all times in
accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards. Work with SHE and
Company officials to promote a safe work environment that meets all
state and federal rules and regulations. Ensure that proper safety
and incident reporting procedures are followed.
Direct and Coordinate. Direct and coordinate the activities of
production and/or maintenance hourly employees to obtain top
quality workmanship, efficiency, employee satisfaction, morale,
communication, and teamwork. Ensure employees receive proper
training and instructions to perform job duties.
Manage Schedules. Direct and prioritize work activities of hourly
production and/or maintenance employees. Schedule production
requirements to support daily, weekly, and monthly sales forecasts
to meet customer and production needs.
Ensure efficiency. Assume responsibility for the production of
materials. Ensure timely and cost effective operations. Ensure
proper and efficient utilization of all resources and
equipment.
Additional Responsibilities. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Skills You'll Need:
Experience. 5 years of work experience in supervision production
employees is preferred. Experience in the mining/construction
industry is preferred. On the job training or an equivalent
combination of education and experience in mining practices is
required.
Functional and Safety Knowledge. Must have knowledge and
understanding of an aggregate, asphalt, cement, or ready-mix plant
operation. Must have knowledge and understanding of OSHA and/or
MSHA rules and regulations.
Flexibility. Must be able to work overtime and extended hours
depending on customer and company demands. Must be able to work
outside in all types of weather conditions and tolerate being
exposed to loud noises.
Interpersonal Skills. Must have the ability to maintain
satisfactory relationships with customers and the community in the
performance of duties. Must be able to motivate and reward
employees.
Ready to Drive. Must have a valid driver's license and have
excellent driving skills.

Salary Range. The base salary range for this role is between $44.00
- $48.00 per hour. This range is not inclusive of our discretionary
bonus or equity package. When determining a candidate's
compensation, we consider a number of factors, including skillset,
experience, job scope, and current market data.
