Job Description:
A company is looking for an SMS Safety Specialist to manage and
improve safety management systems within the aviation sector.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain the Safety Management System (SMS)
for aviation safety methodologies
Coordinate enterprise-wide communications to foster a positive
safety culture and integrate with Flight Safety Teams
Perform internal audits, assess safety risks, and provide subject
matter expert guidance on safety policies and procedures
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or a
high school diploma/GED with 8 years of relevant experience
Industry experience in Aerospace Safety Management Systems
Experience interfacing with industry regulators (e.g., FAA,
EASA)
Master's degree in a science or engineering field from an
accredited university or college is preferred
Demonstrated leadership in a technical specialty with the ability
to teach and set standard practices
