Job Description:
Website Analyst
This is a full time position with a Santa Monica based
independent ad agency of over 450 creative entrepreneurs.
Summary:
As a website analyst your day to day will include data gathering
and analysis across client's digital properties. The data you
collect will be used for scheduled client reports, ad hoc
reporting, setting goals, and defining client success.
The digital analytics team is responsible for measuring trends
based on user behavior in order to drive decisions for campaign
optimization, creative insights and knowledge of how our clients
digital properties are performing. In addition you will be taking a
look at how media channels influence user behavior as they journey
from media to our clients owned digital properties.
This position will work closely with the Digital Optimization, User
Experience and Account teams. As an analyst, you will get the
opportunity to work across verticals such as automotive,
entertainment, hospitality, e-commerce and retail.
Essential Functions:
- Monthly Website Reporting & Analysis
- Ad Hoc Website Reporting & Analysis
- Analytics code tagging & QA
Required Skills/Technical Knowledge:
- Love of all things digital
- Solid understanding of website functionality
- Experience using JIRA, confluence, Socialbridge or other Project
Management platform
- Advanced Excel Skills
- Experience with analytics tools (Google Analytics, Omniture,
WebTrends)
- Experience creating Powerpoint presentations
- Understanding of basic digital terminologies
Preferred Skills:
- Website development (HTML5, JavaScript, PHP, API's)
- Experience with web analytics tagging and QA (Google Analytics,
Omniture, Webtrends)
- Experience with data management and dashboarding tools such as
Tableau, Good Data, Bime
- Experience working in an agency environment (preferably
collaborating with other departments)
Type of experience/Years:
- 2-3 years of experience working with quantitative data
analysis
- 1-2 years of experience with digital properties
Education:
- BS/BA, preferably in quantitative field
Interpersonal Qualities:
- Strong communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to deadlines within a fast-paced
environment
